What are EPDM Roofing Systems?
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a rubber material whose principal components consist of the compounds ethylene and propylene. A flexible rubber matrix forms when a small amount of diene is added to the mix. The standard color for this membrane is black; however, it is available as a special order in white depending on the manufacturer.

Why use EPDM Roofing Systems?
The EPDM polymer enables the membrane to respond to stress and then recover its shape. This elasticity of the thermoset EPDM membrane gives it the proven durability through a wide range of temperatures and conditions that are present during the lifetime of the roof. EPDM is a lightweight single-ply membrane which is ideal for retrofit systems without adding excessive weight to the roof deck.
EPDM Roofing Systems Warranties?
Most manufacturers warrant their EPDM products when used in either a re-cover or new installation application for 10 or 15 years. Upgraded No Dollar Limit Manufacturer Labor and Material Warranties are also available. A standard NDL Warranty term is 15 years ;however, 20 and 30 year terms are available.
