WHAT IS IT?
PVC membrane is the perfect combination of two robust polymers, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and Dupont’s Evaloy KEE (Ketone Ethylene Ester). Evaloy is an advanced thermoplastic, solid-phase polymer with tough, yet flexible properties. It is the workhorse that ensures plasticizer retention. This is critical because plasticizer retention equals a pliable and durable membrane even in the most extreme environments. The standard color for this membrane is white; however, it is available as a special order in other colors depending on the manufacturer.
WHY USE PVC MEMBRANE ROOFING SYSTEMS?
While PVC roofing systems can be used in nearly all roofing applications, they are perfect for the food manufacturing, restaurant, and aviation industries. PVC membrane is proven to hold up against fatty oil exhaust, acids, and jet fuel better than any other roofing product. PVC is a lightweight single-ply membrane which is ideal for retrofit systems without adding excessive weight to the roof deck.
